I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brains to work.
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.
I asked for patience and God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait.
I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted and everything I needed.
My prayers have all been answered.
What do you do when life gives you lemons? You make lemonade #ofcourse.
Even if you’ve had no other crisis this year covid is curveball enough - and let’s face it, life hasn’t just gone, oh shit I better not happen because of…
Covid, Cancer, Climate Change, The dissolution of life as we know it, Mercury or Mars Retrograde or whatever else you want to put in the blank.
The problem solving practicality of the Virgo is solution focused, it asks
“How do I find a way to live in such crazy times?”
Astrologers say this New Moon is like a replay of 18th August New Moon because of the reactivation of Mars square Saturn and Mars being retrograde.
I can well believe it, that feeling of “back to the drawing board” seems stuck on loop.
But they also say this time around we are clearer on what we are dealing with and how to deal with it.
In fact Astro Butterfly calls it one of the best New Moons of the year because it trines Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, grounding and earthing the new practical structure. I’m no astrologer of the same level, but intuitively I feel this is going to play out for a little longer yet!
In the risk of sounding a lil more fluffy than norm I feel we are in the deepest paradigm shift i've seen my lifetime (2012 ain't got nothing on this) and it's been long overdue.
our world is changing, structures are breaking down, no-one knows what way is up anymore and hardly anyone knows what day or time it is to sleep or work.
So I don't feel that 2020 clarity will grace us with it's presence on September 17th.
Especially as this moon is of three supermoons leading up to eclipse season at the end of 2020.
Maybe it will come by the time the year is out - and that’s me giving it the benefit of the doubt!
Maybe I am a bit jaded and cynical, maybe I've been sucking on a lemon for the past month or so and it's left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Even so, my intent is not to spread my cynicism, but the message of we are in it for the long haul, so have patience with yourself and each other.
Patience - the ability to wait with a good attitude.
It’s life Jim but not as we know it.
I still remember the fateful day in August my life changed…
I went to visit my grandparents in nothing but the clothes I was wearing and didn’t leave for a week - I call it my one pair of pants week!
It was clear there was a crisis and I wasn’t going anywhere.
It wasn’t the only crisis that struck me round the face that fateful day.
The other was a Cancer diagnosis. My mother, who had been incapacitated by an op, then found a lump, needed a mammogram and a biopsy and this all tied in with my grandad suddenly developing acute kidney failure whilst two other aunts were on holiday.
Yup, that meant I wasn’t going anywhere in my one pair of pants.
So what do you do if life gives you one pair of pants? You wear one pair of pants #ofcourse.
And what was it those astrologers said about this Moon being a replay?
As fate would have it a month later I’m back in carer mode this time for my mother who needs her third op in two months, and then the next day we have grandad’s funeral.
On a lighter note the call I missed with Russell Brand on my one pair of pants week I have a second chance this New Moon - you know, like you do!
Seeing what I mean about repeating themes?
At least this time there is warning of what is coming, and I can pack more than one pair of pants - and so can you, metaphorically speaking :)
This is the upside of this moon, whatever comes around again, you will have seen it before, you will know what’s coming, no rude awakenings, you are now better equipped to deal with it.
In my last blog about the Pisces Full Moon I talked to you about 9 spiritual lessons from my Piscean Grandad, he truly was a rare consitantly enlightened soul, so if you need some spiritual peace, do visit it here.
Bottom line was he only ever gave out love, optimism and healing - actually, even ramping it right up to astounding heights in his last days.
Very similar to my husband’s nan who was the same age when she passed.
One thing they both had a masters in? Grace and Letting go. Is this a coincidence? Are all people of that generation of that calibre? Is it because they lived through the war?
I doubt every person of that generation had these qualities, but maybe there is something about living in hard times producing the fertiliser to go one way or the other.
On this note I asked my audience what they wanted me to have a word with the universe about...
The unanimous answer was how to make practical decisions and progress in this time of ever changing uncertainity.
Typical themes of a Virgo New Moon. Virgo wants to get all it’s ducks in a row - but it’s opposite sign of the fish is all about letting go, and Pisces is still making its presence felt with it’s ruler Neptune making an opposition to the Virgo New Moon.
Just like Pisces, we are lil fishes being guided by the ever changing tides of the Moon and the sea into a deep, unfathomable new world under the water….This world is stunning, beautiful, blissful, but how on earth will we live? We can’t begin to comprehend it, so what do we do?
The only thing we know how to do... Keep on trying to build castles on quicksand.
I get it. I spent all day Sunday trying to make a plan - it was impossible! I tried to force it and got a headache, so I walked away.
I let it be a half baked plan, and when I came back the next day it was if the universe had moved a few pieces here and there and I could see a bigger picture. One where the current restrictions could actually work more in my favour than if they weren't there at all.
It requires one thing first though….Knowing how and when to let go.
So before bed I asked the universe how to best navigate these times and find myself writing this at 4am - I haven’t had a wink of sleep.
The prod from the universe to get up and take dictation was like an invisible lotto hand pushing me out of bed
Sigh! When will I ever learn to say "let me sleep on it first please!"
...Here goes, Ready to listen up?…
“Dear ones. Now is the time to simplify your life, as much as possible strip it back to the basics, remember who you are, who your loved ones are, the truth of everything shall become clear in the mirror of basic simplicity”
That’s the beginning and end of transcript to be honest! - A simple message about simplicity! But we humans have a habit of making things so complex they stop working.
So what do you do when things are so complex they no longer “work”?
When everything else no longer works there is one thing we can rely on - our intuition.
Trouble is society is in a funk with that too, using it not to tune into ourselves but tune out of ourselves and into others in an attempt to survive, - and it actually does the opposite.
Whatever is on the macro is on the micro, we need a rewiring of everything internally and externally, it’s happening and all you need to do is let it.
First of all there’s a difference between letting go and giving up.
Letting go doesn’t mean giving up it means letting go of judgment of yourself and the situation at hand, of pushing, of controlling or forcing the issue.
It means giving yourself the gift of time because you understand it will all unfold in front of you in perfect timing as long as you continue to put one foot in front of the other and live for the day without needing to see the road ahead.
If something isn’t clear yet it’s not time yet, but it is time to source more information, ask the questions, draw the plans, and be okay with going back over to dot the i’s and cross the t’s as much as is needed - and there is a lot of this needed at the moment - this here is the divine axis of Pisces and Virgo and how the two opposites complement each other.
At the beginning of 2020 we were all raving about how this is the year of clarity, with 2020 vision, and I still believe it is.
It is the year of seeing through illusions to the heart of what really matters in life, it’s just it never goes as we expect.
Instead of fireworks, grand sunny days and celebrations of success we’ve had countless delays, restrictions, and derailment.
2020 is like being on a mountain side train in fog, except this fog doesn’t even socially distance the metre around you, it’s scary as hell but there is something keeping you on track, guiding you forward, and this is your intuition.
When 2020 struck I was planning to do next level retreats in Granada and Canada after running international retreats successfully for the first time in 2019, but whenever I tried to plan and action it just wasn’t working.
I couldn’t get it together and I didn’t understand why, then lockdown came and it all made sense.
The self judgment of “why can’t I just get it together?” got replaced by “Oh I see!”And that’s been the story of my year.
I never decided to do international retreats last year either! In fact I made a decision to do no retreats! Then I was invited to speak in Canada and had a wedding in Granada and it just made sense…
This is a prime example of how we may have one plan and expect things to go that way, but the divine has a completely different idea.
So if you are finding it impossible to plan, it’s because the divine is leading this one. As a friend whose also going through crisis said to me last week
“I agree the divine has a plan - if only we were in on it!”
It feels like we aren’t - because of the thick, thick fog. But…
Close your eyes, feel the gravitas of the invisible hand keeping you on track. You’ll feel it and you won’t go wrong. It’s steering you. You will know this because no matter how you try to go in a direction, if it’s not on the right track or the right time it feels like a glass wall.
So the key here is to not beat yourself up for things taking longer than the norm, great patience is needed, there is nothing wrong with you and you don’t need to give up.
Give yourself a good dollop of trust in yourself, the universe and your intuition.
Learning how to activate your true intuition (not out-tuition) is paramount.
So here it is, your chance to find out if you are coming from OUT-tuition rather than intuition and how to rewire it…
I will leave you with a last P.S from the universe….
“ We are breaking down the divides and polarity, you must learn to flow if you are to grow”
It's true. There is no 9 -5, weekends, day or night even. Everything is blurring into one and the only way to find your way through is to tune into your unique track.
Sleep when you need to sleep, even if that’s day not night, work when you need to work even if that’s night not day.
Do what you need to do when you need to do it, and if it makes no sense to anyone else, then I think that can only be a good thing, it shows you are on your track.
So here’s what to do when life gives you lemons - you give yourself permission to make whatever* you want with it!
That’s the only way the world discovers there’s more things to make from lemons than Lemonade.
